VABA

Vaba is a boho, Earth friendly clothing brand created by classmate, Sophie Harris. The task was to design a logo and brand a company made up by a classmate. I had to interview Sophie to understand what her brand was about and what she wanted for her logo and brand. 

Vaba is a company that makes cute, comfy, boho style clothing made from recycled materials. They pride themselves on being environmentally friendly, accepting of everyone and focused on making good quality clothes that are fashionable. 

Sophie wanted the logo to have Earth tones, so it would correlate to the recycled materials aspect of the company. I chose a mid tone green and a light pink to be featured in the logo and the brand. The green refers to plants which cover the Earth, the pink is a bright, happy color which is meant to give a friendly and happy feel, which is what Vaba is trying to convey in their brand. The logo itself is a flower with the recycle arrow symbol in the middle. The petals are relatively different sizes to give it a more organic look. I chose to make the type green as another way to enforce the flower look to it, making the type look as if it's referencing the stem of a flower. I chose a serif to give it a somewhat sophisticated look. Vaba may be a boho brand but it needs to still have a professional look and feel to it.
