PARANORMAN: TITLE SEQUENCE

This particular project is a title sequence video that focuses on the movie “ParaNorman” created by Laika studios. The main focus of this video was to create a title sequence featuring characters and scenes from the movie. I used a painterly like style as a way to reference the style in the actual animated film. I also wanted to challenge myself on trying a new style, one that I have never tried before. 

I wanted the first half of the video to be showcasing the crew such as director and editor, then showing the character and their voice actor aka the cast. I wanted the crew to be shown in chronologically scenes of the film as a way to show the whole movie very quickly and even reference certain scenes. I also wanted to show the cast/characters doing something that pertains to how they are as a person and an actual scene from the film as well. I mainly focus on giving the illustrations a 3D look and feel by doing layers of illustrations moving forward to give that illusion.
